On Monday, January 11, 1999, Ivy made her special appearance on the Regis and Kathie Lee show. This was an opportunity to present this wonderful breed to the entire nation! Ivy was extremely well behaved and made a very positive appearance on the show that day, both on stage and off stage. This opportunity came about through animal expert, Warren Epstein. I'd like to thank Warren for believing the Thai Ridgeback Dog is a truly unique and beautiful animal well deserving to be invited to appear on the segment of "the world's most rare dog breeds".
Information that was included in Ivy's stage appearance on T.V. was the fact that there are less than 400 Thai Ridgeback Dogs in America. Special mention was also made about Ivy's beautiful coat that feels like velvet. As seen in the picture below, Kathie Lee was eager to feel her coat and commented on how unique it felt.
I'd like to thank Mick Latimer of Gargoyle Thai Ridgeback for communicating with Warren Epstein and making this event possible. Mick and his son were also with us, and his puppy can be seen being held by Warren. His dog Sakorn II also made the trip to NYC, although he remained back stage he made a very positive appearance and turned many heads with his striking looks.
