What is this???
I saw a picture of something today. (03/13/1998)
It was smallish, less than five inches long.
It didn't weigh much, less than half a pound.
It had two eyes and a nose, along with four limbs.
It was drinking water, and had a heartbeat rate
of over 140 beats per minute.
It was 16 weeks old.
The doctor said that she reviewed the sonogram
and that everything looked normal.
How anyone could rip apart such a precious little one
is beyond me.
The sanctuary of the most protected
place on earth is violated thousands of times per day,
and innocents like mine are thrown out like bits
of garbage.
And though I am thrilled about mine, I am grieved for the others.
"For Thou didst form my inward parts;
Thou didst weave me in my mother's womb.
I will give thanks to Thee,
for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Thy works,
And my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from Thee,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth.
Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Thy book they were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them."
