A Twist of Faith Shall we pray to "our Father in heaven" or to "our mother the earth?" Many women are twisting the one true God into a more palatable feminine deity. But, though feminist spirituality seems promising, it leads to spiritual confusion. Kjos explores the myths fueling today's pagan revival, and the truths that lead us back to true intimacy with God. From New Leaf Press. Read an excerpt from the new book, A Twist of Faith entitled, From Father God to Mother Earth. (Included in this book is the testimony of Pat Hunter.)

1. Casper: More Than A Friendly Ghost

A sweet, lonely ghost befriends a motherless girl. He models the ultimate in selflessness -- the willingness to give his life (or rather, his return to life) -- for someone he loves. What could be wrong with someone so good? Plenty, according to Berit Kjos, and here she explains why.

3. Pocahontas

Berit Kjos outlines the New Age aspects of the Disney film Pocahontas and contrasts it with the real story of Pocahontas.

4. The Olympic Dream

Berit Kjos reports on the Olympic Dream in Atlanta. Or is it the Olympic nightmare? Things aren't always what they seem.

6. Women And The United Nations

Berit Kjos reports on the Women and the United Nations: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow celebrations June 4th, 1995 in San Francisco.

7. State Of The World

An article entitled "The State Of The World According to Gorbachev." The alternative to the existing world order can only emerge as a result of a new human dimension of progress.... We envision a revolution of the mind, a new way of thinking...." Mikhail Gorbachev, State of the World Forum, 1996
8. Food Summit Speeds UN Agenda

"We, in the green movement, aspire to a cultural model in which killing a forest will be considered more contemptible and more criminal than the sale of six-year-old children to Asian brothels."2 (Carl Amery, German Greens)
9. U.N. Reform: Fact or Farce?
Kofi Annan. President Clinton praised him as "a man committed to a revitalized United Nations." Senator Jesse Helms who guards the purse strings pledged to work with him. Congress expressed its confidence in him. Who is this new leader of the United Nations? Will he indeed downsize the massive, inefficient and corrupt UN bureaucracy in order to gain over a billion dollars "owed" by the US?

10. Zero Tolerance For Non-Compliance

An article outlining President Clinton's ten steps toward lifelong behaviour modification.

11. Sex Ed And Global Values It's no secret that the gay and lesbian coalition have waged an intense campaign to draw young students into their lifestyle. Their demand for laws mandating classroom sensitivity training designed to build "respect" for their values has opened classrooms to unspeakable propaganda. And they are not alone in the battle against concerned parents who would block their "right" to indoctrinate captive young everywhere.

12. Hercules - A Counterfeit Savior? A kind-hearted character, hair-raising action, and fun, fast-moving images have a way of planting politically correct notions while bypassing rational scrutiny. Even Christians tend to flow with the story and feel relieved when young Hercules conquers evil, restores peace, and earns a hero's welcome among the gods. But what forces really win in the latest Disney animation? How do the enticing images affect "cultural consciousness" in today's fast-changing world? And why are Disney movies important to the consensus process - the public acceptance of an evolving set of global beliefs and values that rule out Biblical truth?

13. Halloween - A Celebration of Evil Excerpted from Berit's new book, "A Twist of Faith."

14. Touched By An Angel - But Which Kind? Berit Kjos reviews the hit TV show, Touched By An Angel, in the light of Scripture.

15. Local Agenda 21 - The U.N. Plan for Your Community To many well-meaning people Agenda 21 sounds good. This U.N. document, drafted for the purpose of creating "sustainable societies" and saving the earth from environmental catastrophes, has been welcomed by nations around the world. Political, cultural, and media leaders have embraced its alluring visions of social justice and a healthy planet. Relatively few are willing to consider the contrary facts and colossal costs. After all, what could be wrong with preserving resources for the next generation? Why not limit consumption and reduce energy use? Why not abolish poverty and establish a global welfare system to train parents, monitor intolerance, and meet all our needs? Why not save the planet by trading cars for bikes, an open market for "self-sustaining communities," and single dwellings for dense "human settlements" (located on transit lines) where everyone would dialogue, share common ground, and be equal? Berit Kjos tells us what is wrong with this U.N. plan.

16. The Clinton War On Hate The White House war against politically incorrect attitudes had shifted into high gear. To establish a new unity, every citizen must be brought into the "national dialogue" that would build a new "consensus". Biblical values would be linked to hate and intolerance. The program would be marketed to the public by publicizing genuine hateful acts such the murder of homosexuals but, in practice, "hate" would include any attitude that opposes the new ideology. Could President Clinton's new war on hate negatively affect Christian values?

17. No Place to Hide Surveillance is becoming a normal part of life in the "free" nations of the world, and America is leading the way!

18. Trading U.S. Rights for UN Rules. While Americans focused on more scintillating news, President Clinton quietly signed a new executive order titled "The Implementation of Human Rights Treaties." The media ignored it and our leaders didn't tell us. Yet we will pay the cost in freedom as well as dollars for the creation of a massive government bureaucracy to promote, monitor, and enforce compliance with human rights regulations mandated by the United Nations. Remember, this governing body shows only contempt for biblical values, American sovereignty, and the U.S. Constitution.

19. The U.N. Plan for Your Health. Don't be deceived by nice sounding labels such as Healthy Start, Healthy People, Healthy Families, Healthy Communities, and Healthy Cities. These and other "local" campaigns for public and mental health follow a global blueprint. They all fit into a worldwide system of health management and surveillance led by the World Health Organization, a UN special agency that equates faith with hate and truth with intolerance. The ultimate goal is conditioning the masses to willingly conform to the new "universal" values, environmental guidelines, and global management system.

20. Bush, Gorbachev, Shultz and Kosovo George W. Bush, Mikhail Gorbachev, George Shultz, your children, and the Balkan war -- how are they linked? Why does it matter? And who is George Shultz? How did he help rewrite history, redefine morality, and prepare America to accept the atrocities that are now paving the way to the new world order?

21. From The Littleton Crisis To Government Control: How Clinton fueled the crisis he now promises to "solve."

22. The Dangers of Role-Playing Games How Pokemon and Magic Cards Affect the Minds and Values of Children.

23. Al Gore's Vision of Planetary Oneness "Al Gore's celebrated new emphasis on ‘religious values’ is as phony as a three-dollar bill," said WND editor Joseph Farah in his July 16 column. "… I truly believe Al Gore is the point man in a campaign to set a fatal trap for America's churches and Christian charities."

24. Reinventing Federalism How Executive Order 13132 lays the foundation for a global management system.
