He married NANCIE LOUISA RISLEY (her full name from his pension records) May 29, 1866 in Ozark Co., MO, daughter of BERTON RISLEY and JANE SINKLER. She was born about 1850-1854 in Ozark Co., MO, and died January 1916 in Claremore, Sagyeeh? OK area.

Notes for JEFFERSON "JESSE" BIAS:
Info. from Nancy Jane Bias' Bible Records shows a Jesse Bias born 10-1-1846. Jefferson's pension records show he went by Jesse as well as Jeff or Jefferson so his full name is PROBABLY Jesse Jefferson.

Alexis has a marriage license for Louisa and GGF John Bias 5-29-1866 married by H. Sallee in Ozark Co. I now have a copy of it.

JEFF and LOUISA were married at John's HOUSE in a double wedding with sister Matilda and Silas Risley. Preacher entered JOHN's name on Jeff's marriage license by mistake according to Matilda's family members. There is an affidavit in Jefferson's pension record from preacher Sallee admitting this mistake was made so it is now proven.

Per notes from Don Bias and affidavit from W.R. Fulton in pension records Jefferson was called "Jesse". and they lived in Campbell, CA area in 1948.

Jesse (Jeff) enlisted 6-1-1864 and was honorably discharged 7-1-1865.

Eleanor says Berton and Jane ARE the parents of our Louisa. Records found in Tennessee at the sale of the Risley Plantation support this per a Risley family member as told to Eleanor.

1870 Ozark Co Jasper Twp. census lists Jesse (Jeff) age 22, and Louisa age 16 so her birthdate would be 1854.

status it looks like 'WD' which I take as widowed.

Eleanor Bias states from records from Louisa's daughter, Lindy, her mother was born in 1850. (Per daughter Linda in 1916 her mother was 65....so birthdate would be 1850)

Risley Family Assn says she was born about 1853.

Info from family states they have been to her grave in Sageyeah, OK Cemetery near Claremore, OK per Eleanor.

She had George, youngest son, when living with Hiram after Jeff died.

Risley Family Assn shows her married to Jesse Bias.

She was staying with Hiram Bias, Jr. & Belle at the time of Belle Lovall's death. She later lived with Hiram, Bias, Jr. but they never married per her statement on pension records of Jeff.

Louisa filed for Jeff's pension 7-26-1890. She lived at Dugginsville, Ozark Co., MO at that time.

She received a pension for awhile, but it was revoked 6-30-1899 under the Act of August 7, 1912.

Per Sheila (1melson@brightok.net), his great-granddaughter, when he came back from the service he started looking for Alice and his girls, first in AR then MO, but Alice was in OK near Shawnee with her husband _____ BROWN. Frank finally found Alice in Shawnee, OK when she was 24. Alice gave him Dorothy's adress and he arived at her door and said how glad he was to see her. Dorothy refused to let him in but after several minutes of trying to convine her and tears of joy she let him and and he bacame part of her life.
