Q: Why Spread The Gospel Light?

A: When you truly have good news, don't you want to spread it? There is no greater news than the gospel. For by it men are saved and learn how to live their lives. Also, as Christians, we are commanded to spread the gospel. (Mark 16:15-16) "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned"(KJV). Most professing Christians are illiterate on the bible. This is truly tragic. Especially as there is no way to know how to live the Christian life without reading and understanding the bible. Too many today are trying to get to heaven by heading down a road, just any road, and never looking at the map, the bible. True, there are things in the gospel that we may not want to hear, for there are many things that are not well accepted in our world of tolerance. For God is not tolerant. He expects us to be obedient. We cannot be obedient if we don't know what He has to say. We cannot get to heaven by living as we choose. So we have a need to know what God has to say about getting to heaven. It boils down to this, one who loves mankind and wishes to see them in heaven must spread the gospel. I stand by and like Paul say that I am not ashamed of the Gospel. (Rom 1:16 ) "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."(KJV)
