OBITUARY

MILTON J. PRENDEVILLE, 79, of Riviera Beach, BRICK, died Friday at home. He was an accountant for the Allied Chemical Co., Morristown, for 46 years, retiring in 1982. After his retirement, he worked for Adam Equipment Co., Eatontown, and Premium Coffee, Wall. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific with PT Squadron Ron 24 Boat 340.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5698, Brick. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 348, Brick. He was a volunteer at the PT Boat Museum, Fall River, Mass. He was an Elder Med hospital volunteer and a member of the Volunteer Income Tax Association. He was treasurer of the Sleepy Hollow Golf and Country Club, Rome, N.Y., and a member and former treasurer of St. Thomas Lutheran Church, Brick. He was a former member of the Fairview Board of Education. He was born in Jersey City and lived in Fairview before moving to Brick 46 years ago. He was predeceased by his sister, Edith. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Genevieve; five sons, Richard T., Robert J., John W., Thomas M., all of Brick, and Michael J., Bethlehem, Pa.; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday from St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 135 Salmon St., Brick. Interment will follow in Ocean County Memorial Park, Silverton. Friends may call at the Laurelton Memorial Funeral Home, Brick, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to PT Boats Inc., Box 38070, Germantown, TN 38183.
