OBITUARY

GENEVIEVE THERESA PRENDEVILLE, 75, of BRICK, died yesterday at Deborah Heart and Lung Center, Browns Mills, Pemberton. She served in the Navy during World War II as a practical nurse at St. Alban's Naval Hospital, Queens. After the war, she was a practical nurse at the Clairmont Care Center, Point Pleasant, for many years, retiring in 1982. She was a communicant of St. Martha's Roman Catholic Church, Point Pleasant. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Fairview before moving to Brick 48 years ago. Her husband, Milton J., died in 1998. Surviving are five sons, Richard T., Robert J., John W. and Thomas M., all of Brick, and Michael J. of Bethlehem, Pa.; three brothers, John Poor of Epsom, N.H., Jim Poor of Hot Springs, Ark. and Junie Lanigan of Clifton; two sisters, Mary Bratt of Hilton Head, S.C. and Ellen Eagen of Beachwood; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Laurelton Memorial Home, 109 Pier Ave. at Route 70, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Martha's Church, Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant. Interment will follow in Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, P.O. Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
