ABOUT JC'S WEIMARANERS |
JC's Weimaraners began in 1988 when I got my first Weimaraner as a Valentine's day gift for myself. I went to view a litter of puppies and Jayce (JC) picked me. Little did I know that very soon my life would revolve around "soft grey couch covers."
Jayce became Can. CH Ariel Jayce's Challenge, NSD, NRD, TT, BROM. She was an excellent ambassador for the breed. She was outgoing and friendly to everyone she met. Her first litter in 1990 produced two American/Canadian champions and her second litter produced, two American champions and one American/Canadian champion. She produced three junior hunters, a senior hunter, as well as dogs with retrieving, shooting and obedience titles ... and her kids are still competing. We expect a couple of master hunters and tracking dogs before Jayce's kids are through competing.
JC's Weimaraners only breeds two to four litters per year. I only breed dogs that meet the Weimaraner standard and have proven their worthiness through conformation titles(or competition) and a demonstrated natural hunting ability. My dogs include some of the top bloodlines in the country. I do not breed any animal with a disqualifying (blue or longhair) or genetic fault. Breeding stock is OFA certified free of hip dysplasia and puppies come with a written health guarantee.
I subscribe to the Weimaraner Club of America code of ethics. I will never knowingly sell any animal to a pet store or to someone intending to breed large numbers of animals for the purpose of selling to a pet store. I want to meet the owners of my puppies, when possible and will keep in contact with them for the life of the puppy. All pet puppies are sold on limited registration to be spayed or neutered. Show or breeding quality are sold on co-ownerships with a private treaty outlining specific requirements to be met before the dog is bred.
