McAFEE

 

MRS. MINNIE (LIVINGSTON) McAFEE, passed away at her late home 19 W. Market Street, Blairsville, Friday February 24th, at 5:15 a.m., following an extended illness. She was born November 18, 1874, in Indiana, daughter of Noah and Mary (Mangus) Livingston. Mrs. McAfee was a member of SS. & Jude Catholic church of Blairsville and of the American Legion Auxillary. Surviving are two daughters: Irene, at home and Mrs. Louise Matviga, Blairsville and the following sons: Lawrence, at home; Raymond of Blairsville. One sister, Mrs. Bertha Bolen, Coshoston, O., four grandchildren and one greatgrandchild also survive.
Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home, Blairsville, until 8:30 Tuesday, February 27th. Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at SS. and Jude Catholic church at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery. (1945)

MARGARET IRENE McAFEE, 80, of West Chester, formerly of Blairsville, died Monday Oc. 25, 1976 at West Chester. A daughter of the late Francis McAfee and Minnie Livingston, she was born May 10, 1896 at Blairsville. She was a member of SS. Simon & Jude RC Church, Blairsville.

Surviving are a son, Paul Robert McAfee, West Chester; a granddaughter, Rebecca McAfee, West Chester. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Raymond and a sister, Mrs. Louise Matviya.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Ferguson-Helm Funeral Home, Blairsville, where wake services will be held Wednesday at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday at SS. Simon & Jude Church, Blairsville, with the Rev. Fr. Louis Cheatham the celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

McGUIRE

 

JOHN MOODY McGUIRE, 76, Clymer, died Wednesday, March 30, 1977, in the Indiana Hospital. A son of John H. and Hanna A. Rowe McGuire, he was born Nov. 4, 1900, in Rayne Township, Indiana County. Mr. McGuire was a charter member of the Clymer Rifle and Pistol Club, member of LOOM 670, American Legion Post 222 and Slovak Club, all of Clymer. For many years prior to his retirement in 1965, he had been employed as an engineer for CBC Corporation.
Surviving are his widow, Dorothy R. Crisman McGuire; three sons: Richard H., Seattle, Wash.; John William, Clymer; and Clair L., Joliet, Ill.; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends are being received from 2-4 and 7-9 today in the Bence Funeral Home, Clymer, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the rev. Loye Startzell officiating. Interment will be in Ruffner Cemetery, Indiana RD3.

 

JOHN WILLIAM McGUIRE, 58 of Clymer, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1988, in the Indiana Hospital. A son of J. Moody and Dorothy R. Crisman McGuire, he was born March 22, 1929, at Clymer. Mr. McGuire was a member of the Clymer Methodist Church and the Loom 670 of Clymer. He was also a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement in 1977, Mr. McGuire was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier in Clymer for 29 years.
Surviving are his wife, Jane Lorraine Lewis McGuire; these children: Mrs. George (Dorothy) Bugay Jr. of Commodore RD1, John W. Jr. of Niceville, Fla., Patrick M. of Clymer RD2, and Ruth Ann at home; six grandchildren; and a brother, Clair "Skip" McGuire of Joliet, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kathleen in 1985; and a brother Richard.
Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Bence Funeral Home, Clymer, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. William Chamberlain will officiate. Interment will follow in Ruffner Cemetery, Rayne Township.

RICHARDSON

 

 JAMES R. RICHARDSON, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, died at Cleveland Heights, Tuesday, November 22nd. Death followed a short illness. Mr. Richardson was born and raised in Blairsville. He moved to Ohio twenty-five years ago. The deceased was a son of Geo. S. and Kathryn (Livingston) Richardson.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lyda (Myer) Richardson; one son, Russell, of Birmingham, Mich., and two grandchildren. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters: Harry L., Johnstown, Lyndale G., Homestead, Rev. C. S. Richardson, Fairchance, Mrs. Myrtle Keibler, Harmony, Mrs. Pearl Cox, Englewood, Calif., and Mrs. C. H. Kissell and Mrs. R. C. McKool, both of Blairsville. One nephew, Raymond Huey, of town, also survives.
Funeral services in memory of Mr. Richardson will be held from the Aberlee Funeral Home, North Side, Pittsburgh, Saturday, November 26th. Burial will follow in the Highwood Cemetery, Pittsburgh. (1949)

RYAN

 

MARGARET RYAN Margaret Elizabeth Ryan, Indiana, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 1995, at Indiana Hospital. The daughter of Earl and Blanche (Renz) Livingston, she was born May 22, 1923, in Indiana. Mrs. Ryan was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana.
Surviving are her husband, Richard A. Ryan; two sons, Richard P. and Edward E., both of Indiana; one daughter, Carolyn Greene, Indiana; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother, Mearle Livingston, Indiana; and one sister, Ruby Fedder, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Earl Livingston.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana, where a blessing service will be held at 1:30 Sunday. Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Indiana. (Nov. 11, 1995)

 

RICHARD A. RYAN, 88, of Indiana, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 1996, at Indiana Hospital. The son of James W. and Annie Laura Wilson Ryan, he was born Jan. 8, 1908, in Elnora, Jefferson County. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a mechanic for McGill Motors. Mr. Ryan had served with the Merchant Marines. He was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana, and the Woodmen of the World.
Surviving are two sons: Richard P. and Edward E., both of Indiana; one daughter, Carolyn Greene, Indiana; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, James, Home; and one sister, Irene Stouffer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Elizabeth Livingston Ryan, on Nov. 9, 1995; and one sister, Roxie Mae Fetterman.
Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. (Feb. 10, 1996)

RICHARD RYAN Richard P. Ryan, 57, Indiana, died Saturday, October 31, 1998 at the Indiana Hospital. The son of Richard A. and Margaret E. Livingston, he was born Aug. 18, 1941, in Indiana. Mr. Ryan lived all his life in the Indiana area, where he was self-employed as an air conditioning and refrigerator technician. He was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana, and a former member of the Punxsutawney Antique Car Club.
Surviving are his wife, Cynthia L. Mogle Ryan; three sons: William R., Clune; Richard P. Jr., Heilwood; and Brian L., Shelocta; one daughter, Linda L. Branan, Shelocta; one brother and one sister, Edward E. Ryan and Carolyn Greene, both of Indiana; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana, where a parish wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m. A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Father John J. Harrold officiating. Interment will be made in St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana. (November 1, 1998)
