OBITUARIES McAFEE McGUIRE RICHARDSON RYAN
MRS. MINNIE (LIVINGSTON) McAFEE, passed away at her
late home 19 W. Market Street, Blairsville, Friday February 24th, at 5:15 a.m., following
an extended illness. She was born November 18, 1874, in Indiana, daughter of Noah and Mary
(Mangus) Livingston. Mrs. McAfee was a member of SS. & Jude Catholic church of
Blairsville and of the American Legion Auxillary. Surviving are two daughters: Irene, at
home and Mrs. Louise Matviga, Blairsville and the following sons: Lawrence, at home;
Raymond of Blairsville. One sister, Mrs. Bertha Bolen, Coshoston, O., four grandchildren
and one greatgrandchild also survive. MARGARET IRENE McAFEE, 80, of West Chester, formerly of
Blairsville, died Monday Oc. 25, 1976 at West Chester. A daughter of the late Francis
McAfee and Minnie Livingston, she was born May 10, 1896 at Blairsville. She was a member
of SS. Simon & Jude RC Church, Blairsville.
JOHN MOODY McGUIRE, 76, Clymer, died Wednesday, March
30, 1977, in the Indiana Hospital. A son of John H. and Hanna A. Rowe McGuire, he was born
Nov. 4, 1900, in Rayne Township, Indiana County. Mr. McGuire was a charter member of the
Clymer Rifle and Pistol Club, member of LOOM 670, American Legion Post 222 and Slovak
Club, all of Clymer. For many years prior to his retirement in 1965, he had been employed
as an engineer for CBC Corporation.
JOHN WILLIAM McGUIRE, 58 of Clymer, died Sunday, Jan.
24, 1988, in the Indiana Hospital. A son of J. Moody and Dorothy R. Crisman McGuire, he
was born March 22, 1929, at Clymer. Mr. McGuire was a member of the Clymer Methodist
Church and the Loom 670 of Clymer. He was also a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Prior to
his retirement in 1977, Mr. McGuire was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a mail
carrier in Clymer for 29 years.
JAMES R. RICHARDSON, of Cleveland Heights, Ohio,
died at Cleveland Heights, Tuesday, November 22nd. Death followed a short
illness. Mr. Richardson was born and raised in Blairsville. He moved to Ohio twenty-five
years ago. The deceased was a son of Geo. S. and Kathryn (Livingston) Richardson.
MARGARET RYAN Margaret Elizabeth Ryan, Indiana, died
Thursday, Nov. 9, 1995, at Indiana Hospital. The daughter of Earl and Blanche (Renz)
Livingston, she was born May 22, 1923, in Indiana. Mrs. Ryan was a member of St. Bernard
of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana.
RICHARD A. RYAN, 88, of Indiana, died Wednesday, Feb.
7, 1996, at Indiana Hospital. The son of James W. and Annie Laura Wilson Ryan, he was born
Jan. 8, 1908, in Elnora, Jefferson County. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed
as a mechanic for McGill Motors. Mr. Ryan had served with the Merchant Marines. He was a
member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana, and the Woodmen of the
World. RICHARD RYAN Richard P. Ryan, 57, Indiana, died
Saturday, October 31, 1998 at the Indiana Hospital. The son of Richard A. and Margaret E.
Livingston, he was born Aug. 18, 1941, in Indiana. Mr. Ryan lived all his life in the
Indiana area, where he was self-employed as an air conditioning and refrigerator
technician. He was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana,
and a former member of the Punxsutawney Antique Car Club.
