Of all the mongrels, Charlie's howl is the most textbook in both form and duration, although Drowsey's howl and characteristic lip pursing rank well. From within the kitchen's confines, Alex can also be found howling. Interspersed between his sheltie-like yaps are occassional howls which end in particularly sour notes. Alex, accustomed to regular admonishment for his irritating noise array, generally chooses to sing from afar. While he may believe that his "music" blends, his human companions' ears know otherwise.
