Bob, our FJC instructor, helping me get geared up.
Heading out to the plane with Bob and Doris (on video... who took most of these pictures.)
First COA ... checking left with secondary jumpmaster, Jeff.
Checking right with primary JM, Bob.
First practice ripcord pull (PRCP). Check out the view in this picture!
Notice all that green down there.... TREES!
Recover.
Second PRCP.
Recover.
Third PRCP.
Start second COA.... check horizon.
Check left.
Check right. Another thumb's up!
OK. What now?
Oh, ya! GEEK THE CAMERA!
Jeff geeks it up, too.
Checking my altitude. I think it says 6500 and I'm thinking plenty of time.
What the heck is Bob shaking me for?
I look over and just see a smiling face. I swore he never pointed a finger a me and then I saw this photo. Yikes! It's right there!
I'm thinking everything is fine after only seeing Bob smile and go back to my dive. Meanwhile they are making plans behind my back!
I check my altimeter and see it's 5500 (I'm told it was actually 4500 then.) and reach to pull only to realize that Bob just pulled it! Boy, was I disappointed!
I'm psyched anyway when I reach the ground! I did it! (Why didn't anyone tell me to take the helmet off before pictures??!??)
Bob comes over and I ask why they pulled before 5500 and he is telling me it was 4500. I don't believe him.
He shuts me up by getting me to pose for a picture.
