CIM holds a
solid commitment to Biblical values and teachings which undergird both our position on
current issues and the manner in which we exercise the various ministries which God avails
for us to be involved in each day. Through the various aspects of our ministry, CIM seeks

We seek to promote the Sanctity of Life through championing the love and value of every child formed in our Creator's caring hands (Jeremiah 1:5, Deuteronomy 30:19). We fully support, assist and promote the vital ministry work of Crisis Pregnancy Centers both locally and abroad in their mission to care for and minister to women who are facing unplanned pregnancies. In addition, we wholeheartedly promote the loving option of adoption through Christ-centered adoption facilitators (e.g. The Link Adoption) - of which our director's family shares a special heart for through the wonderful adoption of their precious and beautiful daughter in the Spring of 2000 (James 1:17). We minister to today's family in various ways. We produce biblically-based publications on family issues that encourage, inform and exhort believers in faith-based action. Our website provides our Christian research and web links to various Christian ministries and pro-family organizations across the United States which can assist you as you deal with the current issues of our day. In addition, we assist in the discipleship of believers through one-to-one counseling and mentoring as the Lord graciously provides such divine opportunities We serve churches both in our home state of North Carolina, as well as in numerous communities across the United States and even on the mission fields of countries around the world. Rev. David W. Haltom, our executive director, is a licensed and ordained minister, and has a calling from God to both preach and teach His Holy Word (2 Timothy 4:2-5) through regular invitations for pulpit supply, guest preaching and revival opportunities. We speak to churches, church groups, and pastors on current issues and work to promote awareness and cooperation in assisting in God's plan to strengthen today's family which in turn strengthens our local community and society. We also serve in teaching biblical-based topical studies (e.g. Experiencing God, The Man God Uses, Worship - Believers Experiencing God, Meeting Needs - Sharing Christ) in either a church or home setting for the purpose of equipping believers for Kingdom ministry. Our ministry seeks to influence today's culture through impacting the hearts of individuals and families with the life changing truths of God's Word. We also utilize various types of media in communicating God's design for and purpose of the family unit. We are planning to become even more involved in writing articles/editorials for local newspapers and Christian magazines. We have received many guest appearance invitations on Christian cable/TV programs (e.g. Voice For Truth, Hearts of Hope) and radio programs (Christians In Action) seen and heard by residents across the states of North and South Carolina. We are available for future guest appearances on TV, cable and radio as the Lord would so lead. Our ministry seeks to network with local, state and national Christian ministries and pro-family organizations in building cooperative bridges to more effectively minister to families in today's culture. We understand that one Christian ministry, church or pro-family organization cannot do all the ministry work necessary in reaching every family today, but through a spirit of cooperation, together we form one body with many different parts (1 Corinthians 12:4-7) that collectively do a greater work in the unity of God's Spirit. We believe God has called our ministry to be a positive Christian influence in local, state and national government. We work with families, Christian ministries and legislative organizations in understanding new and pending legislation, providing careful and well-reasoned analysis on its impact upon families and our society. We also work to inform churches, individuals, and community leaders of critical legislative issues which are before the state and national legislatures. CIM seeks to reflect the mind (Philippians 2:5) and heart (John 13:34-35) of Jesus Christ as we minister in the legislative arena - demonstrative our God-given duty to be particpants in civil and political matters. |
