  • Get notified of an emergency, such as winter storm warnings, floods, hurricanes, etc., by email.
• IWIN National Warning Area
  • Shows warnings by state in different categories.

• USGS Earthquake Hazards Program
  • Information about earthquake activity in the United States and around the world. Also has information about earthquakes in general, research, preparedness and history of past earthquakes.

Here are three sites that may be useful in finding an old high school classmate.

• ClassMates
  • This is an established site, with a large data base. You can view who is listed from your high school after you have registered, which is free. They also have a free service available that will notify your by email whenever someone from your high school joins. However, you can not send a message to your old classmates or view the rest of the site unless you pay a fee.
• Gradfinder
  • This a free site that you can register with. If there are other members of your high school that you would like to contact, you can send them a message through this site.

  • A great site for research, but I found it difficult to navigate and prefer the other information sites listed here. Maybe you will have better luck!
• Library Spot
  • This web site contains links to more than 2,500 libraries on line, a reference section with calculators, calendars, dictionaries and encyclopedias, a reading room that can take you to various book, newspaper and magazine sites, and much more. Return to Index
