BRAND NEW AT THIS HOBBY? OUT ON A LIMB? HIT A BRICK WALL? or just NEED HELP FOCUSING?
Maybe you have NZ/Canterbury research and would like to spend time checking out my library. As well as a number of local and NZ books I also have a number of overseas indexes and FH Society magazines etc that could be helpful.
OR, maybe you just want help finding those elusive wonderful genealogy sites on the Internet - maybe just a helping hand with the joys of email and the Internet.
If you are in any of the above category's or just need some one on one help with choosing a computer genealogy package, or would just like to take a day or two to just concentrate on gaining research ideas or assistance. Then I can help.
I will organize a workshop with no more than 4 persons on a twin share basis (or just one if you prefer) to be held here at my home where you will have no distractions (apart from the view)
The format will be run along the lines of the following but is flexible so please ask:
Arrive approx 1pm
tea/coffee & muffins then down to serious genealogy work until dinner time.
Dinner then discussions until supper time.
bed and breakfast then more genealogy or if you prefer perhaps a trip to view a local garden, museum or craft shop and back for a light lunch before leaving for home.
The format can be changed to suit your needs and I am flexible and happy to have you stay for as long as you wish.
Daily sessions also available for those who live closer.
Public Transport from Christchurch is available and can be arranged.
