Descendants of Pauwels CAPPETEYN

Notes

W. LAGERWEY

Mr. Lagerwey was the schoolmaster in Leerbrook, Netherlands

40. Michiel CAPPETEYN

Michiel had 6 children with his 2 wives, but I do not know their names or how these children were divided between the 2 wives.  I also do not know if his first wife, M. Sprang died or if they were divorced.  Given the times I doubt if it was the later.

27. Paulus Ariensz CAPTEYN

: BIOGRAPHY: The following and all circumstances if not experienced personally (by Willem Kapteyn, born 6 September 1903) are copied and put together from history written by Father Pieter Nicolaas Kapteyn (born 16 May 1874) "In the year 1780, Paulus Kapteyn, son of Arie Kapteyn, settled on the homestead Kortland, between Zwammerdam and Bodegraven. The farm was approximately 35 Hectares, which is about 85 acres, he had purchased it for the sum of 6,000 Guilders. He had had 2 sons and 3 daughters; the sons were Willem and Arie, and the daughters were Cornelia, Gerritje, and Jannetje. Paulus Kapteyn was not well-to-do. The expenses in the farm business in those days were of such a nature that an austere life was the result. Concerning their spiritual life they were members of the then Nederlands Hervormde Kerk, and they served the Lord.
