Am/Mex Ch. Wildair's Doppleganger Belyn "George", whelped June 21, 1982 and named for "George of Jungle" because he really didn't seem that smart at birth, preferring to sleep rather than nurse. But that didn't keep him from growing up to be a big boy of 70# in show weight. Finishing his American Championship with majors and BOBs over several specials in Colorado, he gained his Mexican and International titles in Juarez the following year. Shown as a special, he took several more BOB, many over Nationally top-ranked specials under both all-arounders and many breeder/judges who all commented on his excellent forechest, upperarms and straight topline. Unfortunately, they didn't notice his long second thigh which caused early fatigue in the group ring; and although he was pulled many times in the Hound Group and placed IV once, he often just pooped out and down the tail went! He sired only one litter and that out of his half-sister, Mex. Ch. Wildair's My Queen Guenever. We lost George in the winter of 1995 at the age of 12. |
