Ch. Bay-Manor's Rhapsody O'Wildair, CD "Stacy," whelped August 30, 1989, out of Ch. Bay Manor Encore of JJ and Ch. Bay Manor Lady Ashley, was bred by Evaline Dow of Bay Manor Kennels now located in Queen Creek, Arizona. A beautiful, very feminine bitch, "Stacy" always loved to show, but basset competition being what it was in Division 7, majors were hard to come by, by any means (majors broke, trying to go BW didn't work when you wanted it to, the puppy won after you just took a huge Open Bitch class, etc), she finally finished her championship at the age of 3 with a 4 point major in tough Arizona competition, "Stacy" then began her short-lived career in the whelping box, her first litter of 1 resulting in her son, "Raider", by frozen semen to 1996 Arizona Dog Hero Ch. Bay-Manor Renegade, and the second litter, a repeat breeding, resulting in two males, Bay-Manors Chaos and Wildairs Desert Wind Doogie, both shown limitedly so far. Further breedings resulted in misses and so she was spayed and retired to house-dog status. She gained her CD in 1993 at the BHCA Nationals in San Diego that year. Although very intelligent and a quick learner, she was never entered in competition beyond the CD level due to lack of time to train. "Stacy" was OFA hip certified "Good", elbows normal and CERF clear at the age of 3. As a member of the Dog Obedience Club of Las Cruces, Inc.-sponsored therapy dog group and Therapy Dogs International, she brought cheer to many elderly residents of the various Nursing Homes in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
