The Invitation
On top of a lush green hill sat a castle belonging to a kind and gentle duke. In the valley below, lived his subjects. The duke was generous and helpful, often assisting those in need. His son followed his example.
One day, the son went into the town to meet some of the subjects. He easily made friends with many of the people, though others were suspicious of him because he clearly was different from the rest of them.
The son told the townspeople that they were welcome to come into his beautiful home should a time come when they were forced to leave their own village for any reason. Some people accepted his invitation, and he wrote down their names. Others were skeptical and rejected him.
About a month after the son had returned home, a flood wiped out all of the homes in the village below. Several people came knocking at the door of the castle, asking for refuge. Kind as he was, the duke knew it would be unwise to let just anyone into his home. His son then handed him the list of villagers who had befriended the son. Smiling, the duke opened the door to those on the list. To the rest, the duke shook his head sadly and said, "I'm sorry, but we don't know you, and it doesn't appear that you know us, either." The door was closed.
Why should the King of Creation allow anyone into His home who refuses His own Son? You are cordially invited to bring Jesus Christ into your heart right now if you haven't already done it. Here's how:
Pray this prayer - "Dear Lord, I confess that I am a sinner and I need you. Please forgive me and be my Savior, Jesus. Thankyou."
Now, contact a Christian pastor about baptism.
Welcome to the family!
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." - John 14:6
