GENEALOGY

Welcome! I've been working hard lately on--GENEALOGY, and its interesting to find out who my ancestors were, but the best part is finding out things about them! It's a HUGE project, and there is never and end, as you find new lines and trails! I had very few clues to my past family members, though I did get lucky with an old baby book--(it was my DAD's) and it had some names, so thats where I started!

The names that I am researching now are direct descendants--BALLENGER, BROWN, BRAND, HAZELBAKER, HENGES, KEHRLI, SHOEMAKER!!

My Great Grandparent Shoemaker moved to Oregon in 1912, and originally settled in the area known as Blaine in Tillamook Co Oregon. With in a few years they purchased property along the Tillamook River, and lived in the House Boat with their children until they sold that in 1937 and moved into town.

My Grandparents on my dads side,

Mildred Shoemaker married George Wesley Brand approx 1925, and divorced him approx 1929. They had one son--My Father--

George Wesley Brand Jr.-b.Nov 11, 1928 in Oregon,

Heaven date-April 20, 1958, Oregon.

My father married Jeannette-Mae Kehrli May 1951, in Oregon.

My Grandparents, on my Moms side

Marguerite (Henges) Kehrli,

and Casper Kehrli had at least one child, my mother.

Jeannette-Mae (Kehrli) Brand-b. July 29, 1931

Heaven date April 19, 1958.

From things that I have seen I believe that she had two siblings, Chet and Olga. So far though I have had no luck in tracking that side of the family. I do know that Margurite married a second time to William C. Denboer-Heaven date June 28, 1961.

George W. Brand and Jeannette-Mae Brand were married May, 1951. They had three children.

George and Jeannette-Mae had a short life together on this earth, as they were both killed by a drunk driver in April, 1958. this crash occurred in Clatsop County, Oregon. They were buried together in Tillamook County Oregon.

This is one of the photos that I found recently, and the only thing that I know about it is that it must be a relative, as the name on that back is E. Shoemaker, and it was taken on Jan 27, 1898. There is a middle initial, but its hard to make out, so until I can say for sure what that is I'm not putting it here.
