GREEN BEAN SOUP

This is a family favorite. Different, nutritious, stretches your budget.

INGREDIENTS

qt. Canned green beans

2 medium potatoes

medium onion

whole pepper kernels

2 slices ham

3 or 5 carrots, if desired

1 1/2 quart water

1 bay leaf

2 sprigs summer savory

Little parsley

Salt and pepper, to taste

 

Cook vegetables and meat until tender. Add spices, 1/2 cup sweet or sour creams. Bring to a boil.
