Labor & Delivery:
Mommy was scheduled to be induced on August 3, but the Lord had different plans.  On Monday, August 2, 1999, at 11:45 a.m., her water broke after cleaning the 3 bathrooms.  It happened just before lunch which made her very hungry.

Daddy had decided to work from home that morning.  They had no idea that I was on my way.  Daddy did not believe that they needed to go to the hospital so Mommy called Dr. DeEdwards office.  They told her to go to the hospital right away.

Daddy dropped Mommy off in the front and she walked all the way to the delivery room on the 4th floor.  They immediately gave her a room.  She was in labor for about 6 1/2 hours, but she did not feel anything for the first 4 hours.  In fact, she didn't know that she was having contractions until the nurse told her.  We had an all-natural delivery (no painkillers no anesthesia).

I was very quiet after delivery.  Daddy and Mommy said that I look like my brother.  They found a mole on the right side of my back and the Sendaydiego trademark on the palm of my hands.  They also said that I have dimples and that my fingernails look like they were manicured (whatever that means)..

We decided not to have visitors while we stayed at the hospital so that we could get plenty of rest.  Daddy slept in the folding bed the 1st night.  I was very sleepy that first day.  Mommy had to keep waking me up to feed me.
Coming Home:
Mommy decided to go home the 2nd day because she was homesick.  We had several visitors (relatives, neighbors, friends, Danielle's piano teacher), phone calls, and email to welcome me.  I received many gifts also.  We would like to thank everyone once again for their help, support, and kindness.
A special thanks to the Lee family, who watched our older children overnight and brought us a meal and flowers, and the Riveras, who also brought us a meal.
