Welcome to the Reda Family Homepage. My wife (Marion) and I (Bob) live in a small town called Monessen, Pa., about 30 miles south the city of Pittsburgh. We have been researching our family history for the past couple years. As anyone who has done this knows, this project started out quite simple, but has grown to a project of immense proportions. My paternal grandfather, Raffaele Reda, arrived at Ellis Island Feb 29,1912 aboard the Venezia, my paternal grandmother, Angeline Deluca, arrived in Boston Jan 23,1917 aboard the Canopic.

My maternal grandfather, Guiseppi Izzo, arrived in Boston July 27, 1913 aboard the Palermo. My maternal grandmother, Margaret Caniglia, was my only grandparent born in the US. Although it has been many years since their arrival to this part of the country, the family has remained here.
Marion's family has a much longer history in the US and I have just started putting her family on line. It predates the revolutionary war and may even contain some American Native Indian.So, stop back often, this is where our journey begins!
