The entertainment center is made from solid poplar, that a friend and I managed to save from the scrap heap.
Most of my projects are made from solid hardwoods that are usually found in this region of Penna. This includes cherry, walnut, oak, ash, and poplar. Here is a photo of one of the sawmills that I obtain my wood. I hope to be adding pictures as I complete some projects, my current project is making 6 chairs from walnut to go with the walnut table I made last year!
This is a picture of the humidors that my friend Carl and I build. They are 18 1/2" long, 9 1/2" deep, and 6" high. They will hold up to about 150 cigars, depending on the size. They are made with a walnut case, lined with 3/8" spanish cedar, interlocking lid, and finished with satin varathene.
