A little about the writer: I'm the proud wife of the Redneck, and I'm the mother of two little rednecks, a beautiful daughter and a rambunctious son. I'm a city girl originally. I grew up in the big city of Birmingham. I never even knew this Hollywood existed. It was a shock the first time I saw it. Ours was a whirl-wind romance. The romance is still there, and it will always be. I can in all honesty say to all you ladies out there, you need a redneck. Anyway, I want to say this - The people here do things different than city folks. They say we tlk strange, and thet would seem strange to anyone else, but they're good folks. I'll always be home either in the city or here in the REAL Hollywood. I plan to live here the rest of my life and grow old here. But best of all I intend to be the Redneck's pride and joy, because he and our children are my life. It couldn't get any better for me. I've got a wonderful husband, two beautiful children, a dog, and three cats, and paradise all rolled into one. This is the life! There's never a dull moment around here with the Rednecks. The adventure still goes on...

----Tubbs Mountain----
Tubbs Mountain is a beautiful, quiet place where the people are very friendly and helpful, too. The life here on the mountain is beautiful in the spring, when the trees are green and so tall. The red-buds fill the mountain with color. The dogwoods are fantastic too. The limestone rocks are great seats, and they make great waterfalls when it rains. There's a small stream just a few steps from the trailer that I love to hear and watch flow. But what I love the most about the mountain is it's unspoiled natural beauty. It's really what you could call God's country. There's no place else like it. The farms and fields are all quite lovely, but the most delightful sights are the deer running and playing in the yard. Let's not forget the winter: When it snows here, it really is a winter wonderland. It is a place of so many wonders, it's hard to put them all down, but here's a few of them. These are my favorites. There are the deer, raccoons, rabbits, birds, dogs, cats, and, oh yes, the woods and the wildflowers. Tubbs Mountain can only be described as a true paradise. I for one hope it never changes, for it would be a shame to see an end come to heaven on earth. I'm proud to call it my home. There's no place that welcomes you like Tubbs Mountain. It says "welcome" to all that come here, and it says "please come back again". It really can make you think of things, and if you'll let it, it can bring you peace of mind. All I can say is, you really need to see it and become a part of it. Once you see it, you won't want to leave it. It truly is magnificent! I'm glad I'm here, and it's my great big, beautiful home.
----Tubbs Mountain in March-----
On the day I wrote this, Tubbs Mountain was its beautiful, gracious self, the sun shined, the sky was a lovely light shade of blue with clouds as white and fluffy as cotton slowly floating by. There was a light wind in the trees, and the few flowers that dared were sticking their sweet-smelling heads above the ground to add their beauty to the beauty of the mountain. The red-bud trees are a bright spot in the still-barren brown, but I know it will be green again. Later the same day it rained and it hasn't stopped since. Most folks here are itching to get out in the fields and gardens to get started planting. The kids are in school and are waiting to get out for the summer. The life here is pretty much the same every day. The people do what they have to do. They come and go. But if you need them they'll lend a hand. This mountain isn't just beautiful in March, it's beautiful all the time. You should come see it. If you do, you'll love it as much as all us Rednecks do. Y'all come back, y'hear?
