Adelong is in southern NSW, 20km off the Hume Highway between Gundagai and Albury, a picturesque little town. The shop is lovely with a good range of fabrics and patterns, and the ladies running it were very helpful. Their 'sit and sew' group met the night I was there, and they invited me along.

website = http://www.berrimapatchwork.com.au/
Berrima Patchwork is located opposite the pub on the Old Hume Highway. Tell your husband it is halfway between Canberra and Sydney! (it's not quite, but...)
I love visiting this shop - it is pure eye candy for the country quilter. A very good range of country style fabrics, and good displays of quilts which come as kits and/or patterns. This shop also has many, many paper patterns from Indygo Junction, City Stitcher, Country Friends and Woodcutters Daughter. Heaps of quilt hangers as well.
Berrima Patchork offers classes, often for whole weekends. If you call, I'm sure they will send you their newletter with the class listings. If you get the chance while you are in the shop, take a peek in their classroom - there are fantastic quilts hanging on the wall.

What a lovely little craft shop. With exciting fabrics, new ranges, small in number but really great. Co owner and sales person was so friendly, it was a pleasure to drive the distance to Bungendore just to visit her shop. The rest of the town was wonderful also. I had a delightful lunch and visited many delightfully different shops during my brief visit.

shop, but with a nice range of cloth dolls, stitcheries and country quilt
ideas, not a bazillion fabrics.
Books patterns
Coming into
Goulburn from the Sydney side there is a sign saying "Curtains.Patchwork."
but that shop has closed and the shop space is for lease - Goulburn Country
Patchwork is further on.
This charming little shop has a good range of stitchery and cloth doll patterns and some patchwork fabrics in country style and classics such as tickings. There are lots of samples to see in quilts, cloth dolls and stitcheries, so it may take you longer to look around than the size of the shop may suggest. The samples are very attractively arranged. Packaged patterns are from a variety of Australian and US designers such as Wendy Brigg, Up in Annie's Room, Dizzy Frizzy; and there are also some patterns designed by the shop.

visited many. The service is always friendly and interested and over the
years the stock has gone from being mainly dicount fabrics to a vast range of
the very best patchwork range available at very reasonable prices. The owner,
Barbara English is just a delight! Nothing is too much trouble and her staff
are always interested and friendly. She will also hang one's finished quilts
for display. I always feel great after a visit.

Was delighted with this little shop, thought I'd share it with you. It is a very
old school which has since closed down (over 100 years old) and whilst their stock
is very small they also have heaps of little handcrafted gifts, bears etc. Their
main interest is naive/ country and they also have kits and patterns. You can
get morning and afternoon tea which I can vouch for. The sticky date pudding is
out of this world!! Bought myself a gorgeous wooden quilt hanger complete with
shelf to sit small teddies etc on. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
