1) The shop was great. It has the best range of fabrics I have seen since I have
been here in Oz. I was especially looking for Australian designs and hand screenprinted
fabrics and they had a really good range of those, even some that have been discontinued.
They were really friendly and helpful, and they do mail order (even internationally)
so I'm sure I will be shopping there again. They are hoping to get set up on the
internet and get a mail order web site going.

Similar to DK fabrics with a bigger selection and much cheaper at
$9.00 per meter for 100% cotton quilting fabrics and FQ's for $2
each. Also sells wider backing fabric and it's cheaper than DKs.
(It was funny the first time I bought fabrics from here. They had a
sale on where you could buy minimum of 2 meters for $2 a meter of
selected fabrics. I took them to my quilting group and it was like a
frenzied shark attack. One of the ladies ended up leaving our
workshop with orders from everyone else and came back with a boot
(car trunk) full of fabric which was divided up amongst everyone.)

with some cheaper. Some rolls are perfect but watch out for the
occasional flaw (some are seconds.) Also sells double width fabric

This delightful shop has recently been transformed from an 80 year old home to a quilt shop, full of character. Set in the heart of the apple orchards in the Adelaide Hills , its only a 45 min. drive from the city of Adelaide. Jane specialises in mainly country fabrics and have a good range including many 'apple' fabrics. They also have 30s fabrics, quilting books, other quilting needs and gifts, featuring apples.
