EARLWOOD
Kay's Fabrics and Craft
185 William Street
02 9718 3980
Web Page..www.kays.com.au.... very comprehensive,
even has a map.
Kay's at Earlwood is a treasure trove. She still charges only $8 . Still cheap in this day and age. Her top prices are $12. Apparently there are other similar stores in a few places in Sydney, but I couldn't remember the names, not being a local! I did find out from Kay that there is a similar store up here in Queensland, at Eagleby, and it was even better than Kays Wonderful Hoffmans, Moda and other interesting brands. I think the stock varies according to what they can get from the warehouse, so it may be worth ringing to check when new stock is likely to arrive if travelling a long way to get there. Unlike quilt shops, these shops may not be able to reorder a particular fabric so you have to take your chances. Also no assistance to picking fabric no service apart from cutting nice lady though.

Just changed hands and the new owners are getting rid of all the junky

current stocks but more like end of ranges etc. Prices around $10-$14
metre. .

They have a small range of well selected fabrics but I've found them to be a good source for quilting books - which, I find, are not that easily found lately. They also sell Bubble Jet Set.
