This shop has grown every time I've vistited over the past 5 years. The Stained Glass area has almost been taken over! Lots of ranges of fabrics, including an the entire range of Moda Marbles, Fossile Ferns and all the latest fabrics. Nicky has a wondrous collection of Jan Mullen's materials and patterns as well as a fine collection of other brights. There is always a collection of flannels, including children themed flannel. Orentials are a favourite for the area, so there are always a number in stock. Nicky develops her own patterns and is always happy to give advice on kits and colour combinations.

RUSHWORTH
Meg-Mog Patchwork
Road from Bendigo to Murchison
phone = 03 5856 1856
mailorder = I suspect they would.
I found this shop completely out of the blue when travelling from Bendigo home to Canberra via the Bendigo - Violet Town road. Rushworth is about an hour out of Bendigo and is a very pretty little town. The shop is on the road out of town as you travel to Murchison - on the left hand side.
They had a good range of country and brights, fantastic range of patterns such as Candlelight Creations, Rosalie Quinlan, etc. Heaps of samples in their shop, and you leave feeling simply inspired! They also had a few BOMs you can pick from.

BALLARAT
Gail's Patchwork Emporium
131 Yarrowee St Sebastopol, Ballarat
open 10.00 - 6.00pm Mon/Sat
(03) 5335-9066
There is a brown sign on the main highway that goes through the Sebastapol suburb to turn into Walker St. It is the bluestone building with the big lawns and driveway in front, right at the end of the street. It is well signed on the front fence, and there is parking around the back of the shop.
What a fantastic range of fabrics! I bought 7 matching prints in a dusky mauve, olive green and dusky apricot range, chasing colours out of one feature print that was stunning. There is plenty of sunlight to help with this, and she was generous with measurements. What more could you want? I guess I'd
prefer my fabrics cut, but if they're generous then that allows for the weft going awry as it can.
2) It was really easy to find, even though Rose is "directionally challenged"
and I hadn't been there before. And I left the directions at home.... =% P We
had a great time there, such a fantastic array of colours available, I went
completely berserk and bought 8 metres of stuff before escaping to have a delicious
lunch at the restaurant on Lake Wendouree. The drive was easy.
