Hi Barbara, My name is Marilyn and I have seen your messages on Genforum. I only got a computer in Jan. so it has sped up my research immensley. I had hit brick walls back in 1986 and put it aside. You and I are related through David Allen and Mary Bruce. Their son was William A. Allen and his youngest son,Elbert Jeremiah Allen was a father to my grandpa, Melvin Fletcher Allen. My own father is John Jerry Allen of Cheraw, Colorado, Otero Co. I would love to hear from you. My parents were born in 1930, so they are four years older than you. I was raised on a farm and was the oldest of eight kids, six of them boys. I have found many descendants of David and Mary Allen's thanks to the Net and generous family members that have shared. I have some photos of my William Allen and his family I would love to send you. We have a scanner and we have really enjoyed sending these to different family that want them. Thanks so much for your site. I have been looking for Heil S. Allen and recently received photos of his son Heil Wilson Allen and his family. You probably have them already. Sorry - the 1st one got away from me. You have a great site. My gggrandmother was Sarah (Sally) Mizell m. James Wilson in 1828 in Bertie County, NC. Sarah Mizell was born May 5(15?) 1808 to Aaron Mizell. I have not been able to make the connection bac to Luke Mizell, but certainly there is one. Do you show any Aaron Mizell's - there was a Cader Mizell who was also close to the Hardy's and Wilson's - and Mizells that went to Cass County Ill - as did Eldred Hardy, James Wilson and Stephen Buck from Bert e County.
