I'dI have experienced some major genealogy breakthroughs so far in 1998 on almost every line. Found out I'm a distant cousin to Amelia Earhart, Robert Fulton, Winston Churchill, and Millard Filmore. (And if you think I'm making this up, would I make up Millard Fillmore?) I also have info on my STAFFORD line that leads me back to King Edward III, and I'm trying to figure out how accurate that might be. Found several new Revolutionary War ancestors, too.
It Happens. DON'T GIVE UP. Every day more people are posting genealogy information on the web. Cemeteries, census records, and family trees are popping up everywhere. At this rate we're all going to be able to trace back to Adam and Eve! Then what will we do for fun? For more about creating a genealogy home page, newsgroups, and genealogy searches on the web, see Jan's Tips.

And do you wonder what to do with all of those family files once you've got them? Besides starting your own Genealogy Home Page, why not try to learn more about what life was like for your ancestors? It adds so much vitality and color to those dry names and dates. Here are some excellent books to get you started.

I wouldn't have all of these family files if it were not for the generosity of others. I believe in random acts of kindness and I believe in sharing genealogy. If you have copies of obituaries, wills, biographies, or Indian capture stories relating to any of these families, would you consider sending them my way for publication at this site? Please read my Genealogy Files Disclaimer. Thanks.
