"Above, you will find what Maribel and I call, "Our Quilt".
There are several patches on our quilt. Each patch tells something
about us personally, or things we want to share.
We would like to offer the following explanation of what we mean by a "quilt". It is important to us to keep track of our family history. Not by word of mouth, nor by writing a book, but by publishing several linked web pages for all to benefit. Think of the example of what families used to do years ago, by making a family quilt. Grandmother adds a patch to the quilt for each event that occurs during her life, or the life of her children. She teaches her children to do the same, and the quilt is passed on from generation to generation as a remembrance of who they are and where they came from. This strengthens the bond of the family. They learn from each other, and reflect on the goals they want their family to have for the future. We hope you enjoy getting to know us better. This web page not only benefits you, but it also helps us remember who we are." - Christopher and Maribel Dieter |
