'Our' Little Family Album

It seems like just yesterday that we adopted our first Tibetan Terrier from Diane De La Rosa, Char Su Kennels in Menifee, CA. CH Char Su Cinemax, our gold and white male, was born July 25, 1992. We were looking for a excellent companion dog and that is what we found in Cinemax. We told Diane that we weren't sure that we wanted to show dogs, but our daughter, Cassandra, began training with Don Rodgers then in Yorba Linda, CA. So soon the show bug bit us, and we began traveling to local shows. We even bought a new van and called it the Max mobile. Our life had definitely taken a different road, when we began talking about a second Tibetan Terrier. To our surprise, my husband, Larry was even interested.

We decided to adopt another one of Diane's puppies from a different line. Just as before when we selected Max, we wanted a good dog with a good personality, but were very particular about the color. We didn't want the very popular black and white, but wanted another gold or brindle. With luck and patience, we waited for her breeding of CH Lan Lin's California Cooler and CH Sim Pa Lee For You Char Su, of which both sire and dam were of the colors we wanted. On June 13, 1994, Starry (CH Char Su Starlight Express) was born. She was a gold brindle with white.

Our love for the golden colors continues to this day and so does our love and affection for the Tibetan Terrier breed. It is that love that later convinced us to breed them and finally keep not one, but two golden puppies.
