Bert married FREDRICKA VIS 10 Dec 1903 in Prosper, Missaukee County, MI. She was the daughter of John Vis and Jane DeZeeuw. Fredricka was born 12 Sept 1883 in the Netherlands. She died 1 Oct 1968 in Missaukee County, MI. She was buried in Prosper Cemetery in Missaukee County, MI. Bert and Fredricka made their living by farming. Early on in their son George's marriage, George and his wife, Helen took Fredricka and Bert to Hartwick Pines, near Grayling, MI. This was a big to do for Fredricka and Bert, for they hadn't ever been out of Missaukee County, other than coming to America as young children.

With help from her granddaughters, Isla Mitchell, and Carol Erichsen, I am learning more every day and will have her line completed soon.
