CINDY'S SWISS STEAK

(This recipe doesn't give you exact amounts. Use as much or as little as you want, according to how many you are cooking for.)

INGREDIENTS

mushrooms (canned or fresh)
large can V-8 juice
Italian Seasoning
1 can diced tomatoes (or fresh diced tomatoes)
1 pkg. onion soup mix
red cooking wine
garlic salt
beef base
salt and pepper
crushed parsley
rue made out of flour and butter

I didn't put venison on the ingredient list, but you know of course you need venison steaks.
Dip venison steaks in flour and tenderize on both sides, re dip in flour.
In a frying pan brown venison well in 2 tb. of cooking oil.
Put venison in Dutch Oven (kettle).Add 1 cup water,and the list of ingredients, except for the rue and wine. Simmer until meat is nice and tender. Add the rue, stirring constantly until it is thickened to your liking.
Add a splash of the red wine, and Voila! It is done!
