Introduction

Our Mission is to act as a clearing house for all Souther in America and Canada. If you have ever wondered about your family history or if you have questions about where you tie in to the progenitors of the Souther Families of America, then we are here to help you find the answers to your questions. Our main goal is making connections to all the descendants of Joseph [Sowther] Souther of Boston, Massachusetts who was the progenitor of most all Southers of English descent in America. However, we also have just completed a database for our southern Souther Cousins of German Descent. View a report from that database here! What will you find here on the Souther Family Association site? I have tried to provide statistics and other information that will be of interest to all Souther and many genealogists; some educational, some entertaining. If you go down to the Index & Projects links below and visit those pages, you will find information concerning the "Overview of Souther Family Research", Souther who served in the Revolutionary War and their biographies as well as other Souther Biographies and Souther Features including "Notable Cousins". Additionally you will find facts about the "preliminary" edition of the Souther Families of America Book and the Souther Cousins Newsletter. The Souther Family Photo Album is always changing. A list of other Souther Researchers along with their E-Mail addresses and URLs is also available. The Projects section is a list of projects that I am actively working on.
