The Mayflower Connection

The "Souther Family" is a very old family in Massachusetts having been in Boston as early as about 1657. One of the earliest lines moved to Hingham and remained their for some 250 years before moving further. Because of this, the Southers have married into many old line families providing the descendants of Joseph Souther of Boston many Mayflower lines.

My personal lines gives me direct descent from 10 Mayflower passengers:

Cooper John Alden; Governor William Bradford; Elder William Brewster; Stephen Hopkins; John Howland; William (Molines) Mullins; Henry Samson, Captain Myles Standish; John Tilley and Mr. Richard Warren.

Other Mayflower passengers associated with other Souther lines include:

Francis Cooke, Edward Doty, Samuel Fuller and Degory Priest.
