Crockpot Beef for Sandwiches
1 roast (chuck, sirloin tip, round)
1 onion
1 packet Italian dressing mix
1 cup water
Place all in crockpot, cook on low 8 hours.
Note: I prefer to use Zesty Italian dressing mix. It gives the meat a nice kick. This is one of the meals I do for Once A Month Cooking. I put it all in the crockpot the night before I am going to spend all day cooking. The next morning, it's ready to shred when I get up. That gives me my first 2 meals or so in the freezer by 8:30 that morning! I keep hoagie buns in the freezer from the bread store (day old, I get them for 2 packages for $1!!!) I'll take a pack of those out, add the beef and a slice of cheese and VOILA! Dinner!
