Swiss Steak


4-6 Minute steaks
2 cans Hunt's diced tomatoes
4 ribs celery cut in 2 inch pieces (I also use some with the leaves on it)
1 large onion (cut in slivers)
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Black pepper to taste


Dredge steaks in flour and in vegetable oil fry them slightly on each side to make sort of crusty. In a large Dutch oven, pour half of the tomatoes. Add celery and onions and spices. Arrange minute steaks on top. Pour on remaining tomatoes. Simmer on low about 45 minutes. Remove celery before serving.
