Calgary Chinese Alliance Church missionary event

Every third Sundays, we have missionary visitation to share the gospel in teams.

Our church have the following missions work which would require your prayer support:

  2. English gospel Sunday (May 31)

  3. Manchester short term missions team for about 3 weeks in the summer time. Five believers and a pastor will go together to help our sister church in evangelism.

  4. Missions Awareness and reporting from Missionaries currently serving in Philippines.

  5. Our church tries to stay in touch with the missionaries via email and raise their prayer requests in our church's prayer meetings.

  6. Dominican Republic is another country which we had short term missions trip for two years in a row. This may be continued again this year.

  7. We had a prayer chain going on for an on-campus evangelistic meeting in March. Praise God, heard of 6 people accepted the Lord.

  8. Another English evangelistic meeting in February at the Canada Olympic Park, two person accepted the Lord.

Beracah's missionary encounter/documentation

Beracah fellowship doesn't have any special missionary outreach plan yet. This year, our theme is "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" (Romans 10:14-15)

We are planning a series of programs/training to equip our fellowship in sharing the gospel with others, and in some practical techniques. Hopefully later on this year, we'll schedule more practicum for group evangelistic action.

Praise the Lord, from time to time, we may hear of one or two new converts in our midst. In our fellowship, there is recently some new believers. Sometimes, we have friends who are non-believers but are interested in our Sunday school programs. Lord, continue to help us pray for their salvation and the equipping of disciples. We can always improve and do more for God.

  1. Elaine was from China, and often busy working. Praise the Lord that she accepted the Lord about half a year ago. Unfortunately, due to her work schedule, she can't make it to the fellowship often. Pray that the Lord will strengthen her and our fellowship, in having the wisdom to help nurture her spiritual growth.
  2. A couple recently got baptized and decided to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Praise him. The husband had cancer and still took the leadership in becoming a Christian. Help us to remember them in our prayers.

Come back and visit our site for more documentary as we have time to organize them here.

Where can we find motivation for missionary work?

Missionary work can be done by either an individual, a group or even a whole church. Sometimes, the strength of one person's may not be substantial enough. At times, even if with the whole church's strength is gathered and applied to missionary, it may still be meaningless. It's through God's true mobilization in people's hearts accompanied with our fervent prayers, that's when missionary work can be carried out with real impact and momentum.

In order for us to evangelize the world, it'll be beneficial for us to remember the following motivators:

  1. Obey God's three biggest commandments because we love Him:
  2. Base on our the eternal hope from God, live our daily lives in faith and love. This hope of glory is a source of tremendous strength.
  3. Pray for every soul, families, friends, races and countries whom or which you are concerned of. God wants to see our fervent prayers before he answers us. Pray, pray, pray! God is building up prayer warriors and spiritual armies in this area!
  4. Live a good testimony. When we live our life abundantly as designed by our God, it demonstrates God's grace and mercy on us. This turns into an aroma, attracting others to notice our lives as witnesses for Jesus.
  5. Participate in fellowship. Learn to love fellow believers.
  6. Care for one another and serve their needs.
  7. As enabled by the Holy Spirit, TALK to the others about Christ.
  8. Pay attention to when the Holy Spirit is at work. Be obedient to its prompting. When the Lord is working through us, it's at a time when we least expect it. But often, that's when God's influence is most effective. Pay more attention to the local culture & others' needs to prepare ourselves for these God-given encounters.

Brothers and sisters, arise! Be alert and pray! Be the salt and light of this world!

May more people come to know him and not one souls be lost!
