Prayer is very important for us to draw spiritual strength from our Father in Heaven.

God teaches us How to pray and what we should pray for. This is not meant to be an exhaustive list and only here to remind us.

Lord, teach us HOW to pray

The Lord's Prayer. Remember God's honor, kingdom and his righteousness first. (Mat 6:9-13)           Have you asked for his kingdom lately?

Pray that you will not fall into temptation. (Luke 22:40)

Pray in the spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. (Eph. 6:16)

When we pray, we thank God for the other saints of their faith and love. (Col 1:3)

Pray for others to ask God to fill them with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. (Col 2:9)

Pray that God may open a door for Paul's message (missionaries), so that they may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. (Col. 4:3)

...Pray for Colossians (Christians) that they may stand firm in all the will of God, mature & fully armoured.

Be always on the watch and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man. (Luke 21:36)

Pray for leaders and authorities

Lord, teach us WHAT to pray for:

• Pray, as Canada Assumes Responsibility for Alliance Missionary Efforts in Mexico

  Keep Praying for Mexico (Feb., 1998)

  • For a smooth transition as Canada becomes Lead Partner in Mexico. (C&MA in Canada newly took over in Feb, 98)
  • For a good working relationship between the missionary team and Mexican church leaders.
  • For an atmosphere conducive to a strong, positive response to the gospel will be generated by the Holy Spirit throughout Mexico.
  • For the launching of a new church plant in Guadalara this year.
  • For the financial resources needed for the Encounter church development effort in Las LLomas, Mexico city.
  • For an effective evangelistic outreach.

• Pray for the Persecuted Church in many countries. (over 60 per EFC)

  Pray for World Peace

  Hunger - North Korea (IMF), World vision

  Indian people's ministry - gospel in North America.

  Missionaries' safety, spiritual growth, strength and that God opens doors.

  Pray for the sick, the suffering members of the fellowship.

  Pray for those looking for work. God will supply all our needs.

  Pray for a devotional leader on the executive team.

  Pray for unity and fervency in serving the Lord in the new executive team along with all the saints.

  Pray for God's leading for additional Pastoral staff.

  Thank God for our Summer Conference.

  Pray for God to strengthen our church's leadership.

  Pray for God's guidance in additional education space.
