There are many events in one's life that are meaningful. Some moments are critical; others are minor details. Choosing the most meaningful event in one's life is not an easy task. However, since my life is rather uneventful, picking it will come rather simple to me.
I do not remember the day except that it was on a Sunday morning in November about five or six years ago. At that time, I was attending a church service. I was feeling a little uneasy. When they asked the congregation if anyone needed prayer to come forward. I did. I knelt at the alter, and gave my life to God.
People ask me, "Why is this such a big deal?" Let me explain. We all live, therefore we all die. For some people that is it. Game over. You lose. One way trip to Hell. Others, like me, are destined for more after death. I go to Heaven. What happens next is that I live again, spiritually. Next level. I am guaranteed to a happy life before and after death.
There is more. While I am physically alive, I should let others know of this gift. There is no cost to it, it guarantees fulfilling life forever, and it makes a better person out of you. One would think people would swarm to this gift. Unfortunately, people are not. This was prophesied; the Bible says "the harvest is plenty, but the laborers are few." I am not living up to the task as a laborer. I am trying to be a better one, though.
This gift is the best decision I have ever made, and believe me, I have made a lot of bad ones. If anyone out there who has not received this gift, I urge you to take it upon yourself to accept it and invite Jesus into your heart. I have never met a person who has felt sorry about it and I am sure you won't either.
