Memory creation after early pregnancy loss.

Early Pregnancy Loss:
After a loss in early pregnancy there is often very little concrete evidence than can be gathered in the way of mementos. Some parents, especially those who see their loss as significant, may still wish for as many different mementos as possible given the circumstances. An early pregnancy loss memory package may consist of :

1. the positive pregnancy test,
Beta HCG levels don’t drop immediately a pregnancy ends and therefore it is   usually possible to produce a positive pregnancy test  to keep even after early fetal demise has been confirmed.

2. Ultrasound photos , even of an empty sac can be treasured. Don't  laminate ultrasound “flimsies” as it destroys them.

3. Choosing a name is also something that is important. A name personalises the baby making him an individual rather than an event. It may be easier to say “when I had peter”  than “when I had the miscarriage” Surviving and subsequent children also find it easier to refer to the baby as a person with a name rather than as an occurrence. If the gender of the baby can’t be determined or is unknown then parents can still call their baby by a unisex name eg Jordan, Taylor, Ashley  or by a name such as star or gumnut.

4. A histopathology report will also provide concrete evidence of the existence of a pregnancy.

5. You can wear jewelry to help you remember. If you click on the feet above you will go to a site  where you can purchase lovely little pieces of jewelry. The jewelry features tiny hands and feet. These are the actual size of an 8 week fetus. They also have a huge range of other memory creation ideas...well worth a visit. Also the site below is also worth a visit if you are looking for jewelry.

Sweet child of my dreams...
destined never to part.
No love could be deeper...
you grew in my heart.
