Henchmen: The pack of Hyenas follow whatever Scar demands. The leaders of these Hyenas are Shenzi, Banzia, and Ed.
Motive: Killing Mufasa and Simba off, so he can become the ruler of Pride Rock.

Review: In last weeks review of Jafar, I wrote that he was ‘my vote for best male villain.' After viewing "The Lion King" today, I realized something, I knew that Scar was an amazing character and villain and everything, but I never thought he was this amazing. On this viewing of the film I really paid attention to Scar. I examined his movements and gestures, and his evil snickers and expressions. He really is amazing, and I've never done this before, but I kind of changed my mind about Jafar. He's very meager compared to the awesomeness of Scar. Of course they are two totally different villains, one is more on the comedic side, and the other is a more evil and sinister character. It depends on what kind of villain you enjoy more. I, myself, enjoy both types, it depends on how I'm feeling that day. Both villain's character design and animation are great (both villains were designed by Andreas Deja, a very talented supervising animator at the studio), and the voices are equally astonishing. This truly a brutal fight to the finish.
