Stromboli and Coachman Voice: Charles Judels
John Voice: Walter Catlett
Gedion Voice: Silent Character
Motives: All of their motives are to
get their hands on Pinocchio, the little
wooden boy.
Stromboli Review: Stromboli owns a traveling puppet show, which
temporarily starred Pinocchio, and Stromboli's marinates. The first time
we see Stromboli, he is just an ordinary traveling gypsy, trying to make
some cash, but backstage he is an
obnoxious, loud, and greedy man. He treats
people like garbage, and only cares about
himself and his money. Stromboli's character
can shift from being very humorous to being
very frightening. It is easy to recognize this
man's very personality in his one scene.
The Coachman Review: The Coachman is the owner of "Pleasure
Island," a theme park on a remote island. The park is designed
especially for young, disobedient boys, which supports such activities
as vandalism, violence, drinking beer, and smoking cigars! But soon
the boys feel changes, physical changes, and psychological ones as
well. They transform into donkeys! Although this isn't exactly the civil way to solve the wrong doing of the children, it does certainly teach
them a lesson. There's no question
after such a punishment that the boys
will not act in such an unruly manner.
The Coachman, in the very little
scenes that he has, appears to be a
very cruel and unkind person, as
well does his business, but in a way
he is doing those young men some
good. And in his own twisted
fashion, shows them what's right
from wrong.
This is Monstro the Whale.
