Mr. John Hardeman of Macon, GA wrote:
            "...Robert and Isaac were both members of the Georgia Lesiglature and so the grandsons,
             Robert V. Hardeman and Benjamin Hardeman, both serving in the State Senate and House
             of  Representatives and his great grandsons Sam H. Hardeman, Thomas and Robert U.
             Hardeman also in the Lesislature, Thomas in both Houses and Robert in the Lower House.
             Thomas, Jr., twice represented the State in the United States Congress and his younger
             brother Robert U. was for twelve years State Treasurer, and S. H. Hardeman was Judge
             of the County Court of Wilkes County.  Robert V. Hardeman was for years Judge of the
             Superior Court, Comulgee Circuit.  The following members of the family were Justices or
             Judges:  Robert Hardeman of Oglethorpe County; Ben Collier of Upson, B. F. Hardeman,
             Jack Hardeman, R. V. Hardeman, Vines and Thomas Hardeman..."
