We have just started the process of Russian adoption. We have half siblings in mind, one a girl (5) one a boy (2). Reading your amazing story brought emotions to me; fear of similarity to your story with the girls, and hope for an ending as wonderful as yours with Denis. Congratulations for your perseverance.

We too have had to disrupt an adoption. I know how hard that is. I am so glad for you that you were able to adopt Denis. I am 1/2 Ukrinian, so I found your story particuliarly interesting. Our adopted son is FAE, and adopted from the US foster care sy tem. Thankfully, he was in a wonderful foster home, and the negative emotional symptoms did not happen for him. Please visit my page and follow my adoption links. I understand how difficult attachment disorder can be to live with, and how the decision o disrupt is a difficult one.

I enjoyed reading your adoption story, I'm so sorry it took you so long to bring your son home. Thank God he didn't suffer personal neglect. I have fallen in love with a little boy in Vietnam, but I'm afraid I will never be in the position to adopt him as he will need medical care that I won't be able to provide due to insurance and previous existing conditions. I keep him and all the children in my prayers. Bless you and your beautiful family. Sincerely, Suzi Pearson

Jennifer, I am in tears as I write this! I found your site via the Atkins Support List. My daughter's best friend is an adopted Korean girl. A few years ago I was in a women's Bible study group and heard a similar story of the red tape, etc., from a wo an who was adopting a baby from Armenia. I think that there's a reason and a purpose for everything, and I believe God leads us on different "paths" if you will. I know several people who've adopted children: some adopt locally, some through church age cies, and some internationally. But I firmly believe God wants every child to have a home, a loving set of parents, and family life. God bless you and your family for sharing this incredible story of courage and inspiration!

Your story has a special meaning to our family because we adopted two babies from the Kherson baby house 4/98. Adoptions are now going smoothly there. The children are taken very good care of and have many activities. For those who read this, it is possib e to adopt in Ukraine without an agency. There are several people who have done this helping others. Please consider adoption in Ukraine and the adoption of the Asian/Russian children. We have been so amazed by how happy and well adjusted our children hav been that we are going back for two more this year! May we all find the children meant for us, Holly

Hi Jennifer; your adoption story was beautiful, and I loved the music, especially on the last page! Denis is so cute too. We also had our Romanian adoptions drag on for 4 1/2 years; however those were the two boys who were not, as Tanya and Olga so aptly ut it, "emotionally intact". It's amazing when you see the h**l the government agencies put you through when all you want to do is give a little child a loving home. Who knows, maybe we could have helped our boys if we'd gotten them sooner. Anyway, thanks so much for sending me this address. I loved the page and congratulations on FINALLY getting Denis home!

Hi, I just wanted to say that I read your story and I was so touched by it. We have adopted six children, 2 from Colombia, 2 bi-racial little girls from the states and 2 East Indian daughters, one born in India and one born in New York. We found our last da ghter in (New York, who happened to be East Indian but being placed domestically. This was an answer to our prayers as we had always wanted a second Indian child but knew we could not afford to adopt intercountry again. We feel God chose this very speci l child for us, just as he chose Denis for you. Enjoy your beautiful family, I am happy that everything turned out so well for all of you. Kim

It's both a heart breaking and yet uplifting story you have there. I wish you and your family all of God's Blessings. My wife and I are in the process of adopting a baby girl (GIANNA-MARIE) from Korea. She's as cute as a button. We were told just a lttle over a week ago that she has "SIMIAN LINES" on both of her palms. They say this could be a sign of 'DOWN'S SYNDROME" We are now nervously awaiting the results from this test. Do any of your children have "SIMIAN LINES" on their palms? We've been told so many conflicting stories about 'SIMIAN LINES" and my wife is a nervous wreck waiting for the results. It's been a week as of Friday and we're still waiting for the results. My wife and I just finished her room yesterday and pray all is OK. We'll let you know how things turn out and once again God Bless You and your Family.
