Mary Jane was the daughter of Jacob and Sarah Anne Mullenax Nelson,
formerly of Pendleton County, VA/WV.
Jacob, Sarah and Mary Jane eventually moved to Wilson County, Kansas.
Solomon was the son of James and Elizabeth Speas Spillman of North Carolina.
