The first photo below left to right, is of Hazel Violet (Hays) Jorgensen, daughter of the late Ernest and LaVangie (Taylor) Hays and Barbara Elaine (Hays) Clayton, daughter of the late Dewey and Florence (Altevogt) Hays. Hazel and Barb met for the first time on July 12, 1999 at Gambro Healthcare in Decatur, Il. Barb (Hays) Clayton's grandfather Otis Dewey Hays, had a brother unbeknowst to her, named Ernest Volando Hays. Hazel is the descendant of Ernest Volando Hays. Hazel is a 1st cousin to Barb's late father Dewey Carroll Hays. The 2nd photo below is of Bobbi Renae Jorgensen, Barb's 2nd cousin, who receives dialysis at Gambro Healthcare in Decatur, Ill. Bobbi was born with Spina Bifida on 26 May 1971. In August of 1999, it was discovered by my cousin Hazel (Hays) Jorgensen, that Ernest Volando Hays served in WW I. He died in July of 1925 and is buried in Westside Cemetery in Moweaqua, Il. He has never had a military monument, but one has now been ordered.
