George James was born during a terrible influenza epidemic that was taking the lives of many newborn children. After George's birth Grandma Irene asked God to spare her son because he was destined to be a great man. Thankfully for myself he was spared. Grandma Irene can remember that when George was about a year old he put a scare into the family. It was a Sunday and George was in his crib; he saw that his brothers and sister where on the floor, so he jumped up and out of his crib. Grandpa John picked up George and rushed him to the doctor. Nothing was wrong with him except he wanted to be on the floor with the rest of the family. George was a good student at Saint James grade school and after graduating he received a scholarship to attend Holy Name Cathedral High School. He attended Holy Name for one year, he did not like it; so he transferred to Foreman High School. George attended college to learn about advertising, after graduating from high school. He was the first male Gniech to attend and graduate from collage. In 1986 he became a Roman Catholic Deacon, and if he did not fulfill his mother's promise before this; he did so now. George James married Patricia Szudarski.
George and Patricia are the parents of Patricia Ann, Matthew, and Melissa nee Gniech McCoy.
They are the grandparents of Nicole Amber (Melissa & John are the parents).
