2. John EDWARDS Sr.2 Born in 1644 in Salem, Mass. John died on 28 Aug 1697 in Salem, Mass.

Date of Mary's death is not know but in 1682 John joined in petition with children of John Sloart for appointment of administrator of Solart's estate; his right based on being father of childern by "Mary daughter of John Solart" John Edwards died 28 Aug. 1697 with widow Sarah adminastrator of estate; Sarah appears to have died by 1702 as sons Thomas and Joshas are listed as under 14 and placed under guardship of Uncle Thomas(? John's brother).

On 20 May 1666 John first married Mary SOLART, in Beverly,Mass. Mary died ca 1682.

They had the following children:

ii. Elizabeth. Born on 1 Apr 1671.
iii. Mary.

After 1682 John second married Sarah ?.

They had the following children:

i. Abigail.
ii. Martha. Born in 1685.  died on 31 Mar 1724.
Martha married Phinear DODGE.
iii. Sarah. Born in 1686.
Sarah married Daniel CLAFFLIN.
iv. Samuel. Born on 2 Nov 1687.  died on 17 Apr 1706; he was 18.
v. Tabitha.
vi. Ellinor.
vii. Joseph.
viii. Hannah.
ix. Joshua. Born in 1692.
x. Thomas. Born on 12 Sep 1694.
xi. Deborah. Born on 20 Jul 1696.
